Hydrogen-Purification Membranes and Membrane Test Equipment

Hydrogen permeable metal membranes made of Pd-coated refractory metals or palladium-silver alloy. Palladium silver alloy membranes are available plain, coated with pallaadium-grey, or coated with palladium-copper alloy. Selectivity to hydrogen = 100%. For membrane- reactors, go here; for catalysts, here, and for hydrogen purifiers, go here. Our refractory metal mebranes and membrane test equipment is described below. For a theoretical / experimental article on the mechanism and rate of hydrogen transport through these metal membranes, go here.

Periodic Table Coffee cup. Designed by Robert E. Buxbaum, himself. Essential equipment for any membrane research program. Hydrogen appears here twice; once as an alkali metal (HCl) once as a non-metal (NaH). Shows how much extra surface area a cylinder provides by including all the rare-earth metals and lanthanides where they belong. Color = Blue of Tyre, White.
